Dean
He got his Doctoral Degree in the Department of Interdisciplinary Science (Research Office of Science History and Science Philosophy) of the Graduate School of Comprehensive Culture, University of Tokyo, Japan.
He is an outstanding humanities professor and doctoral tutor of Peking University, the Dean of the School of Health Humanities of Peking University, and deputy dean of PKU-CAST Joint Institute for Science Culture.
He concurrently serves as the member of State Council Academic Degree Evaluation Committee on the History of Science and Technology, the Executive Director of the Chinese Research Institute of Sciences and Technology Policy, the Director of its Scientific and Cultural Commission, the Executive Director of the Chinese Society for Dialectics of Nature, the Deputy Director of the Scientific and Technological Methodology Commission, the Executive Director of the China Soft Science Research Association, and the Executive Deputy Director of the Innovation Strategic Professional Committee of Chinese Association of Development Strategy Studies; member of the editorial board of Studies in the History of Natural Sciences, Studies in Dialectics of Nature, Journal of Dialectics of Nature, Science and Society.
He was the former Research Fellow of the National Science and Technology Policy Center for Advanced Research in Science and Technology at the University of Tokyo, Deputy Director of the Center for Science and Social Studies of Peking University, the Chinese director of Confucius Institute of Waseda University and a Visiting Associate Professor of Waseda University Study Center (Lecturing Course: "The Frontline of Chinese Studies"), Non-full-time Lecturer at the Faculty of Education of University of Tokyo (Lecturing Course: "Exercise of History of Science"), Deputy Director of the Scientific Research Department of Peking University, and former director of Peking University School of Foundational Education. He has won the second prize of provincial and ministerial level scientific research achievements, the first prize of teaching achievements of Peking University, and the outstanding humanities scholar award of Peking University.
